Welcome to Chelsea’s Busy Hands!

I am Chelsea Hull. Thank you for visiting my website! I am so happy you are here. Allow me to provide you with a brief overview of my background and services.

A Brief History

My involvement in the deaf community began with my mother, who identified as hard of hearing. From my early childhood, I had to learn to communicate with sign language, spurred by a basic and deep-rooted need to be close to her.

My experiences growing up with a deaf parent taught me the primary importance of communication in living a positive and productive life. The more I could understand and respond to my mother using sign language, the better I could help her navigate the world without feeling held back by her inability to hear.

I soon realized that being able to help my mother gave me a great feeling of fulfillment. This feeling became the spark that launched my career as a sign language tutor and interpreter.

Education & Experience

I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Deaf Education from San Diego State University and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Deaf Education from Fresno State University. I also have over 15 years experience providing classroom instruction, working with families of children with hearing loss and communication delays, and teaching developmental playgroups and baby sign language classes.

My specialties include teaching parents to utilize ASL signs and principles to improve their child’s speech, vocabulary and language development. Both of my children began signing at 6 months.

My Services

I provide a wide range of services for the deaf and hard of hearing. These include customized one-on-one tutoring, interpreting public events with large crowds, and sign language workshops.
